DMX is arraigned in court after tax evasion charges on July 14, 2017 in New York City.

The rapper will be required to be accompanied by a sober coach around the clock.

After failing multiple drug tests, U.S District Judge Jed Rakoff has decided to end DMX's house arrest as long as the rapper checks himself into a rehabilitation facility to seek treatment, TMZ reports

The news follows DMX's recent request for his travel ban to be lifted so he can perform at some of his upcoming shows. The judge approved the rapper's request but required that he be accompanied by a sober coach around the clock.

According to the NY Daily News, DMX's lawyer Murry Richmond says that the rapper's decision to check into rehab was a "voluntary" move. And while he no longer has to walk around with the monitor, DMX will still need to seek approval should he decide to travel outside New York state.

The "Party Up (Up in Here)" rapper recently escaped facing jail time after pleading not guilty to multiples counts of tax evasion and was released from jail after posting $500,000 bail.

Billboard reached out to DMX's rep for comment but did not hear back at time of publishing.
