Actor Eric Andre Calls Out Hip-Hop Community for Supporting Kodak Black & XXXTentacion
To begin his rant, Andre highlights a contradiction in hip-hop, posing the question, "Why are we not ok with neo nazis but we listen to rappers who beat and rape women??? #humanrights." He then called out Kodak Black and XXXTentacion specifically, backing his claims by sharing articles that discussed hip-hop's history of supporting of the controversial rappers.
Continuing his rant, Andre tweeted that he was "upset" at World Star Hip Hop for supporting the Florida rappers and explained that, "racism, sexism, homophobia - it's all bigotry. it is all part of the same systemic evil that keeps people subservient and disenfranchised."
XXXTentacion, who allegedly attacked his pregnant girlfriend last October, responded to the comedian in a now-deleted tweet saying, "because not everything you hear on the internet is true, you should be adult enough to know that & support the youth before degrading them."
Andre concluded his thoughts by offering statistics from One Billion Rising, a campaign created to end violence against women. "1 out of 3 women are beat, raped, or murdered in their lifetime. that’s 1 billion women. Shits got to stop. No more apathy or indifference."

i hear people complaining about racism but turning a blind eye towards sexism. violence against women is wrong. does that make more sense?— Eric Andre (@ericandre) August 19, 2017
