Chance The Rapper performs on day three at Lollapalooza in Grant Park on Aug 5, 2017 in Chicago.

Because of his meteoric ascension in music, Chance the Rapper has won the hearts of many of his contemporaries. This past weekend, rumors swirled on social media about a possible collaboration between him and John Mayer after a fan darted a question in the direction of the Chicago MC.

"Hey, saw you guys hung out last night. You guys became best friends, right? Gunna collab, right? Sweet, thanks," said the Twitter user. Chance nearly broke the Internet when he provided an emphatic "Yes" in response. Then, Mayer caught wind of Chance's answer and doubled down by offering his stamp of approval. "Cosigned," he tweeted in response.

Things got crazier for Chance when Bruno Mars said that he would love to collaborate with the "No Problems" star, as well. Bemused by Mars' answer, Chance gathered himself together and replied back: "Wait wtf. I just retweeted a gem off your page only to find out you rocking with the kid?!? Let's make it happen I already got choreo ideas."

Aside from receiving a slew of praise from his peers over the weekend, Chance watched his brother Taylor Bennett unearth an unreleased collaboration titled "Gimme a Call," which features himself and Social Experiment. Take a look at the tweets and listen to the funky track below.
