YG was embroiled in an exchange with police on Wednesday (Aug. 9) after refusing to exit his Mercedes-Maybach in Burbank, Calif., according to a TMZ report

The Compton rapper was allegedly stopped due to dark tinted windows on his Maybach. After failing to provide his driver's license and registration, the TMZ report states that police asked YG to step out of his car, but the rapper refused to exit the car, telling police "no," because he "didn't trust them" and feared that the police might harm him.

As patrol cars arrived at the scene for backup, YG eventually exited the vehicle. No arrest was made, but the rapper was cited for the tinted windows and driving without a license plate or driver's license.

YG has previously been vocal about his disdain for law enforcement, heard on tracks like "Police Get Away With Murder" off his 2016 effort Still Brazy, and Red Friday mixtape cut "One Time Comin." "Oh s--t, oh s--t, driving while black on some floss s--t/ Gotta stay strapped, stay cautious/ Young n---a ain't tryna see the coffin/ Oh s--t, oh s--t, one time got behind me, we all sick," he raps on "One Time Comin," accompanied by a stirring visual that ends with cops surrounding YG as he puts his middle finger in the air.
