J. Cole & Bas Makes Terminally Ill Fan's Dream Come True

Thanks to the power of social media, J. Cole made one of his biggest fans' dreams come true, by meeting with him backstage at a recent 4 Your Eyez Only tour stop.

In a tweet posted on July 29, Twitter user Robert Griffin contacted Dreamville artist Bas pleading for the rapper to help his son meet J.Cole. "My 11 year old son @ his first concert in 2015.Just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and all he wants is to meet J Cole. Please help me Bas," the father wrote.

Bas then responded to Griffin's plea by telling the father to check his DM. On August 9, Robert Griffin posted a series of photos with J.Cole and Bas backstage speaking with his son. In one photo, Cole is hugging his supporter while another picture shows the "False Prophets" rapper signing a piece of paper.

Good Samaritan J.Cole recently took a trip to San Quentin State Prison to meet with inmates who are serving life sentences and also voiced his support for NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who many feel is currently being blackballed by the NFL.

Speaking to the Baltimore, MD crowd at his 4 Your Eyez Only show, Cole said "Baltimore, the type of s--t that's happening here, don't you think somebody should risk their whole livelihood and their whole life to talk about this s--t? Even if it cost them they money, they job, they life? Don't that sound like Colin Kaepernick? Don't that sound like what he doing? And he trying to come to Baltimore, the city that seems to need that s--t for real."
