Right after last night’s NBA Finals matchup (June 7), XXXTentacion became joke fodder after suddenly getting jumped during his San Diego performance. The rapper was mid-song when his assailant ran on-stage to blindside him with a punch to the face. Other attackers rushed in to get in a couple more kicks and punches before security, realizing what they were there for, ran in to intervene.

As many have pointed out, last night’s concert was in San Diego, home of Rob Stone, whose crew has also been connected to an April altercation with XXXTentacion’s friend Ski Mask. However, no charges have been filed, and Rob hasn’t commented on last night’s incident.

XXXTentacion, on the other hand, didn’t remain silent for long. After the beating, he took to Twitter to claim that the lackluster security actually set him up. He also appeared on Instagram to tell his side of the story, saying that he plans on suing the venue. And in a since-deleted tweet, XXX talked about someone suffering "several stab wounds, he in critical condition he might be dead in a few hours." Fox 5 San Diego reported that a victim was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds (XXX retweeted that article). As of publication time, there’s been no arrests made.
