UPDATE: According to the Associated Press, Brandy has been released from the airport as of 4:10 p.m. ET.

On Friday (June 2), singer Brandy was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after falling unconscious on a Delta flight, reports TMZ

According to the site, the songstress was on an early Delta flight from Los Angeles' LAX to New York's JFK airport. Before the plane took off from the gate, passengers noticed that the "Boy is Mine" singer fell unconscious and quickly ran to her side.

L.A. City Fire Dept. and paramedics were contacted by Delta and escorted Brandy off the plane to a nearby hospital. She reportedly regained consciousness while she was being treated on the jetway.

Sources say she was stable en route to the hospital. Billboard has reached out to Brandy's reps for comment.
