With the NBA playoffs well underway, Mountain Dew tapped Joey Bada$$ for their collaboration The Courtside Project. In return, the 22-year-old wordsmith penned and filmed a video for his motivational track titled "Victory."

The collaboration between Mountain Dew and the NBA is geared on combining some of the league's brightest stars in conjunction with the best trendsetters in art and culture. In honor of the playoffs, Bada$$ served fans a heavy dose of basketball metaphors. "Everyday another triple-double entendre," raps Bada$$ when boasting about his Russell Westbrook-mentality on the microphone.

“I’m excited to be a part of The Courtside Project. It’s the fusion of several different worlds -- from basketball to music, style and art -- that are not all separate streams anymore, they are interconnected," says Bada$$ to Billboard. "I always want to encourage the youth to be themselves and pursue their dreams, whether those are hoop dreams, GRAMMY dreams, or PhD dreams."

The music video features a slew of talented NBA stars, most notably Russell Westbrook, CJ McCollum, Myles Turner, Devin Booker, and Emmanuel Mudiay. The song originally debuted in February, and currently serves as the background track on TNT's NBA playoff telecasts.
