Kendrick Lamar is taking the DAMN. show on the road. On Monday morning (Apr. 24) the MC announced dates for a tour with Travi$ Scott and D.R.A.M. that will keep him on the road for most of July and August. According to dates posted on his Instagram, the tour will kick off on July 12 in Phoenix, Arizona, and wind its way through Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Washington before moving on to Boston, Toronto and Detroit.
The 17-date outing is currently slated to wind down with an Aug. 6 show in Los Angeles. DAMN. blasted to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart on Friday (Aug. 21) with the biggest week for an album so far this year, 603,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Apr. 20, according to Nielsen Music. DAMN. marks Lamar’s third No. 1 album, following last year’s Untitled Unmastered. and 2015’s To Pimp a Butterfly. DAMN. was released April 14 through Top Dawg/Aftermath/Interscope Records.
