After a slew of reports surfaced stating there was trouble in T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris’ paradise, Harris recently sat down with Essence’s podcast “Yes Girl” and set the record straight. Since December of 2016, divorce has been on the horizon, and shots have been fired from both parties. Amid the confirmed split alongside constant he said-she said chatter, Tiny shared her sentiments on Tip’s recent statement on their marriage.

In a recent interview with Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez, T.I. confirmed that they were no longer together, and also called their marriage a “distraction.” This, of course, set the internet ablaze leaving much of the world befuddled -- while taking Tiny’s side. And in the final season of their VH1 show Family Hustle, we saw the couple co-exist while living apart and co-parenting.

Still, like many us, Tiny admitted to being confused by the Paper Trail rapper’s recent remark. "I had to…like how could he just …like, a distraction?” she said, adding on that he still he doesn’t get why his comment might come across as offensive.

“He cannot understand what in the world did he say that wasn’t right…like, ‘I don’t get it. I’m like, ‘You don’t get it?’ [He said] ‘Like, I don’t get it. I didn’t say anything bad about you,” she continued. “And I’m like, ‘That doesn’t make sense…That’s a cop out, pretty much. Like you’re too old for that. A distraction?! Boy, you’ve been married for seven years going on now, and you’ve been in this relationship for 15 years now. Okay?”

During the interview, Tiny did not address the main reason why the two are breaking up, or confirm any rumors of infidelity -- but she did say all the women after T.I. made it difficult to be married to him.

"It’s crazy because they don’t really care," Tiny explained. "Women today they don’t really care that it’s just for a night. So how can a man…they keep throwing it and keep throwing it. Like, how are they supposed to stay normal and just faithful when this is going on all day, all night? It’s a lot."

Still, despite their failed relationship and constant bickering, Tiny said they are still the best of friends. "We still talk all the time," she revealed. "We’re still together all the time. I don’t know… it’s a crazy thing. But, we definitely had it out about that. On the show you’ll see more about it."
