As the sun set on the Indio Valley for Day 2 of the Coachella Music Festival on Saturday (April 15), Future came alive in the nighttime.
Rap's melody connoisseur and drug-laden wordsmith came fully prepared for his Coachella debut with a live band, keeping the energy a 100 emoji while showing the breadth of his catalog. Alongside Ty Dolla $ign, the Atlanta MC launched his set at 7:31 p.m. PT with "Blasé" before hitting his turn-up anthems "New Level" (the A$AP Ferg-hosted cut), "Same Damn Time" and "Sh-t."
The three-screen Jumbotron featured an assortment of visuals which included scantily clad women shaking their bottoms, distorted images of Future and a Sprite bottle or the Freebandz crew as well as vicious dog bites. While his frequent tour mate DJ Esco tried to pit a battle of the littest between both sides of the audience, the real winner was any member of the Future Hive.
