La La Anthony & Anthony Anderson to Host VH1's 'Dear Mama' Special for Mother's Day

VH1's annual Mother's Day extravaganza Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms is back. The network has tapped the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated black-ish actor and comedian Anthony Anderson alongside actress/author/entrepreneur La La Anthony to host this year's mother-centric celebration. 

The special, produced by Flavor Unit and Jesse Collins Entertainment, will feature several celebrity guests paying tribute to the women who raised them and shaped their success. Dear Mama will take place at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, Calif. The list of honorees will be announced at a later date. 

Queen Latifah, Jesse Collins, Shakim Compere and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay will serve as executive producers.

Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms will premiere on VH1 on Monday, May 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
