Rihanna and Drake pose onstage during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 28, 2016 in New York City.

This past weekend, Drake and Rihanna had an awkward run-in at a child's birthday party.

Through a mutual friend's Snapchat, a clip has surfaced online of the "Work" collaborators -- and on-and-off rumored couple -- occupy the same space since their alleged split last October. Rihanna can be seen chilling and helping a little one into a ball-pit alongside bestie Melissa. Meanwhile, Drake appeared to be crouching awkwardly in a corner in a separate clip.

Last year, the frequent musical partners dished out fiery collaborations with "Work" and "Too Good". Drake even presented Rihanna with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards with a profound speech last August. "She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," Drake said of the "Love on the Brain" singer.

This week, it was announced that "Work" is up for two awards -- best R&B song and top R&B collaboration -- at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Drake leads the way with 22 nominations, while Rihanna comes in third with 14 nods.
