Emotions run high in next week’s upcoming episode of Empire titled “My Naked Villainy,” where Bryshere Gray -- also known as Yazz The Greatest and plays rapper Hakeem Lyon -- gives a heartfelt performance of the smooth new offering “Special.”

Yazz dedicates the track to "all the queens around the globe," singing, "I’ll be there with you if it goes down baby / I’ll be your lifesaver, you’ll never drown baby." He also channels a bit of Tupac's "Keep Ya Head Up," stressing how we all came from a woman.

While Hakeem celebrates his 21st birthday with a live-stream on Empire Xstream, Cookie (played by Taraji P. Henson) and the rest of Lyons are put on notice with Anika's suspicious motives and Giuliana comes back into the picture.

Listen to “Special” below before Empire returns on Wednesday (April 12) at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
