Def Jam's newest signee, Amir Obe, plays with the concept of time on new EP None of the Clocks Work. Consisting of seven tracks, the set finds the enigmatic artist delving into a world where emotions trump material possessions. Songs like "Free" allow the Detroit rep to sing about broken relationships and severing ties with a loved one.

His single "Wish You Well" shows his more confident side as he flexes on his critics. "Champagne showers on the way / I been working 25 hours every day / Pull up in the Benz, having them dancing in the rain," he sings.

In 2015, Obe collaborated with singer/songwriter PARTYNEXTDOOR on two records, "I'm Good and "Truth for You."  He also co-produced "Star 67" from Drake's 2015 mixtape IYRTITL. After releasing two EPs, 2015's Happening in the Grey Area and 2016's Won’t Find Love in the Hillsthe rising rap star aims to capture everyone's ears with his newest offering.

Take a listen to Obe's slow-burning effort below.
