Last week, Joey Bada$$ put on a lyrical exhibition over the beat from Future's "Mask Off" while he was with the L.A. Leakers. On Monday (March 27), Bada$$ continued his onslaught on the West Coast when he tackled Miguel and J.Cole's "All I Want Is You" on Los Angeles' Power 106 The Cruz Show.

Instead of dishing out love-struck bars over the R&B instrumental, Bada$$ delved deeper into his personal life. "Got a vision and a plan that keeps growing stronger/ That's on my mama, she still be thinking about that diploma/ That I never got, so I made her a business owner/ F--k it, it’s what I owed her," rapped the Brooklyn MC.

Bada$$ is gearing up to release his sophomore album All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$ -- due April 7 -- which will feature J. Cole, Schoolboy Q, Styles P, and more. Earlier this month, he released the video for his politically-charged single "Land of the Free."

Bada$$' new album will feature the lyricist speaking on the current events plaguing America. "I've been watching all these events over the last four years and I've been feeling helpless," he recently told Billboard. "But I feel like this is where it starts: me opening up the conversation."

Beyond marking his album release date, April 7 will also be "Global Hip-Hop Appreciation Day," per a recent post from Bada$$. He saluted "dot," referring to Kendrick Lamar, another MC who teased he would drop something on the same date, via latest offering "The Heart Part 4."
