Dave East and A$AP Ferg connect for their new money-driven collaboration "Paper Chasin." For Def Jam's Direct Deposit 2 mixtape, two of Harlem's best boast and brag about their affinity for the finer things.

“Ferg and ya boy on a paper chase/ All of these diamonds they look like a lake/ And I’m mixing Maison Margiela with Bathing Ape/ I put codeine in the Gatorade," raps East. Ferg counters with tenacious bars of his own: “Chasin' chasin', all this paper chasin’/ I’mma work for months/ All this money making/ F--kin’ on your lady while you masturbating/ Me and David East finna rule the nation,” he spits on the second verse.

Since he inked his deal with Def Jam in September 2016, East has shown flashes of star potential. After penning impressive verses for Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Wrote My Way Out" and Duke's "Billboard," he has watched his stock rise. As for as Def Jam's second installment is concerned, they snagged a slew of the label's biggest artists including 2 Chainz, Jhene Aiko, and Big Sean for their tape.
