With Rihanna's acting career taking flight, the singer channels Amelia Earhart in her latest photo shoot for Harper's Bazaaraccompanying a 1929 essay on flight fashion from the aviator herself. She also covers the publication's March 2017 "Big Fashion Issue."

The pictorial follows the announcements of several upcoming big- and small-screen gigs for RiRi, including the all-women-everything flick Ocean's Eight and the sci-fi thriller Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, along with a cameo in Season 5 of the A&E series Bates Motel.

For HB, the Barbadian beauty sports a blonde 'do and pricey accessories across the spread, including a $6,200 Tod's coat, a Stella McCartney jacket ($1,295) and pants ($1,065) as well as a $2,100 Hermès jacket.

Says Rihanna: "There's something so special about a woman who dominates in a man's world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper's Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys."
