Instagram Commenters Are Accusing Beyonce of Stealing From M.I.A.

Beyonce is the talk of the town this week, after Queen Bey revealed that she's expecting twins on Wednesday (Feb. 1), with a goddess-like photo -- now the most-liked Instagram photo ever -- including a veil and flowers. But after Bey shared several more photos from the portrait collection, fans took to social media to point something out: Beyonce's photos looked a lot like shots from rapper M.I.A.'s upcoming music video, "POWA," which she was promoting Thursday (Feb. 2).

Featuring a bed of colorful roses and a pastel veil, M.I.A.'s video clips do bear a striking resemblance to Beyonce's baby bump pics. But considering Bey's pictures and M.I.A.'s video promos were posted practically simultaneously, it seems like this may just be a crazy coincidence. Yet, some people were eager to call Beyonce a copycat in the comments of M.I.A.'s post -- which sparked quite the conversation amongst fans.

"Def Beyoncé stealing the visual arrangement for her photoshoot from Maya," one fan suggested, while another snapped back, "Actually this and with beyonce photoshoot was inspired by past history like most stuff influenced by other things. I've seen a music video by samantha mumba, called 'Lately' with murial thing going having colourful flowers...m.i.a didnt create idea so stop going on ppl like she's the original."
