Chance the Rapper puts his modeling cap on for his #ThankUObama collection, a clothing line-meets-art project inspired by the former first family.

The Chicago rapper announced the project Thursday (Feb. 2) on Twitter with a link to ThankUObama.Us, paired with photos of him wearing Barack Obama-inspired gear like a jersey with "America" emblazoned on it, a maroon tee that reads "Malia" (one of Obama's two daughters) with the tagline "We all smoke its ok" and a black shirt bearing Obama's face with a crown, similar to the popular Notorious B.I.G. image. He also shouts out Barack and Michelle with a white long-sleeve shirt that features "Barack N Michelle" in black and pink graffiti writing as well as their wedding anniversary on the back, "10.3.92."

"With this project i wanted to timestamp a period in my life where i felt like i can do whatever i wanted to do and be whatever i wanted to be," reads the project's description. "The night Obama won his first term gave me so much hope, especially & most importantly as a black man. I decided to make a collection saying 'thank you' and give me something to smile at every now and then when i look in the closet."

While there is an "Add to Cart" button for each of the items, there is a ticker running along the bottom that states "Do not wear. This is art...," which suggests that it may just be an art project, not a clothing line. While at first shoppers expressed frustration on Twitter over not being able to check out and purchase their selected items, Chano soon after Tweeted, "The site crashed but we back up," solidifying the site as a fully functioning clothing line.

The #ThankUObama collection wouldn't be Chance the Rapper's first foray into fashion. Last April, the cap-loving MC redesigned the Chicago White Sox logo for a series of baseball hats from New Era and also became the face of an H&M x Kenzo collaboration.
