Everything We Know About Nicki Minaj's Fourth Album

Beyond the flirty vocals from Partynextdoor and the feel-good vibes of Major Lazer's latest offering "Run Up," collaborator Nicki Minaj sneaked in an update on her next project between bars: "'Bout to drop a album, this is my fourth."

A little over two years since the Queens rapper dropped her third studio album The Pinkprint (which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hit the top of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart), her loyal fans -- affectionately known as Barbiez and Kenz -- have been craving another set.

The newly single MC -- she recently broke up with rapper Meek Mill -- has been keeping busy in the meantime by delivering a mobile game called Nicki Minaj: The Empire, developing an ABC Family (now Freeform) sitcom based on her life, and releasing verses on tracks with Yo Gotti, Ariana Grande, Fetty Wap and even a verse for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack.

Here's everything we know about her forthcoming album so far.

The Title

In a now-deleted tweet, Nicki Minaj responded to a fan who asked for the initials of the album title, saying "MYOB." The acronym is also shorthand for the popular phrase "Mind Your Own Business," but the lyrical queen will probably add her own flair to the project's name.

UPDATE (May 2018): As she waltzed onto the Met Gala red carpet on Monday night (May 7), Nicki Minaj spoke with E! News about the inspiration behind her Met Gala look and subtly slipped in a few details about her forthcoming album. "I wanted to make sure that the bad guy was here. Album dropping June 15, it's called Queen," she said.

The Collaborators

While details are slim, DJ Mustard has said that he was working with Minaj on new records. "I heard that Nicki had liked the song and I’d been working with her on some other stuff for her stuff," said the producer, who recruited her for "Don't Hurt Me" featuring Jeremih. "I don’t know when it’s coming out or what’s going to be on it but we was working on some stuff for us together..."

UPDATE (April 2018): Nicki Minaj returned with two new singles, "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz," which were produced by her latest collaborator J. Reid. "Nicki stormed into the booth and freestyled for 10 minutes straight,” he told Billboard. “Then she busted [into] the control room super excited, demanding everyone’s opinion. That’s when I knew we had a hit.”

The Details

She also told Hot 97 last October, "The album is so freaking epic, but it’s a journey. Before my first album came out, I was on everybody’s song. I had my own campaign without realizing it. Right now, I have to complete a few things for other people ... What that does, throughout my career, it makes me get back to my fun side and it makes me push my pen.”

UPDATE: In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid's Whoolywood Shuffle, Minaj expressed her excitement for her fans to receive her fourth album: "I know it's going to be my best body of work ... That's next on my bucket list -- to deliver my fourth album and make sure that it's a classic hip-hop album that people will never forget."
