On Sunday (Jan. 8), Green Bay superfan Lil Wayne was a happy camper after his favorite NFL team, the Packers, trounced the New York Giants 38-13 in the opening round of the NFC playoffs. Following the game, he made a special appearance on NFL GameDay via Skype to discuss his team's victory, while also capping off his interview with a surprise cameo from Nicki Minaj

Wayne also gushed about his elite Young Money squad to Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. "You already know I got my key players. I got my Nickis. I got my Drizzys. So we’re gonna be alright,” he said. Minaj then walked into the Skype call unexpectedly. "Matter of fact, I got my Nicki right here," he added before the two hugged each other on-screen.

For Minaj, that marked her first public appearance since she revealed that she was newly single and working on new music last week. It also follows Cash Money president Mack Maine's recent interview with Revolt TV , where he teased 2017 releases from the Young Money camp including Minaj, Wayne, and Drake.

"Wayne also has a dope project called Velvet," said Maine during the interview. "We want to get that out. Drake dropping top of the year. Nicki got some features that, I've been in the studio with her lately, she's just killing. She also gonna be working on her solo project, and she's dropping [that]." Maine also noted releases from signees L.A.T., which is Wayne, Gutta and HoodyBaby. "We got some shit in the chamber for y'all man. We gonna be all over your radio, all over your TV screen. If you got any problems with us, you not gonna be able to avoid us."

Earlier this month, Lil Wayne hinted at three projects coming out this year, with Tha Carter V, Funeral, and Dedication 6. Last week, Birdman -- who has been beefing with Lil Wayne over the delayed release of Tha Carter V among other legal and personal issues -- also confirmed on Travis Scott's Beats 1 radio show that Tha Carter V was definitely coming out.

While Wayne was able to bask in his team's win on Sunday, singer Trey Songz received criticism from Giants fans online after their team got crushed by Green Bay. A week before the game, a photo surfaced of Songz hanging out on his yacht in Miami with several Giants players, most notably Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz. Fans attacked the singer for luring the players out to his party, knowing that they had an important playoff game the week after.

"100 ft yacht, and Tavares was grabbing some food while we took the pic I keep trying to tell you people!," joked Songz after Giants wide receiver Tavares King landed a 41-yard touchdown during their blowout loss.
