Run the Jewels surprised fans with a Christmas gift, dropping their highly anticipated new album three weeks early.

Announcing the release of RTJ3, their third LP, the rap duo tweeted, "We couldn't help ourselves. It just feels right."

The project, which was expected to arrive Jan. 13, appeared online Saturday (Dec. 24).

The 14-track album is available as a free download on Run the Jewels website and for streaming below. The album will still get a physical release Jan. 13 in the U.S. and Jan. 20 internationally.

Killer Mike and El-P had already shared the singles “Legend Has It,“ “2100,” “Talk to Me” and “Panther Like a Panther.”

RTJ3 features Danny Brown, Trina, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, BOOTS and Kamasi Washington. Rage Against the Machine's Zack de la Rocha makes an uncredited guest appearance, as El-P noted on Twitter.

Back in October 2014, Run the Jewels 2 also was released before its announced date. The duo is gearing up for their 2017 Run the World Tour.

Alongside the new album, Run the Jewels also unveiled a clip of their upcoming appearance on Portlandia, scheduled to air Jan. 5 on IFC.
