The debut album from Dec 99th -- the duo of Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and producer Ferrari Sheppard -- has finally arrived. The self-titled album was originally slated for a release date of Dec. 9, sticking with the numerical theme, but instead was dropped Wednesday (Dec. 21).

Sheppard produced the entire album, which includes "N.A.W.," "Local Time," and "Seaside Panic Room," all of which were independently released earlier this year. What comes next for Dec 99th remains unclear, though, as Bey -- who spent most of 2016 detained in South Africa for violating local immigration laws -- recently announced his retirement from performing.

The album is available to stream exclusively on Tidal, though non-subscribers can check out the new track “Blade in the Pocket.”
