On Sunday (Nov. 27), R&B heavyweights including Brandy, Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Teddy Riley and Dru Hill were on-hand to perform at the 2016 Soul Train Music Awards.

Sparked by a soulful performance by Lady of Soul recipient Brandy -- who dived into a medley of classics, including her 1998 hit "Top of the World" with Ma$e -- and culminating with a riveting R&B cypher anchored by Tyrese, Angie Stone, Ne-Yo and Gladys Knight, a heavy dose of nostalgia permeated the air.

Check out some of the night's best performances below.
