21 Savage has been on a tear of late, with four songs that landed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in November: his singles alongside Metro Boomin, "X" feat. Future and "No Heart," as well as featured verses on Drake's "Sneakin'" and Meek Mill's "Offended." On Tuesday (Nov. 22), his biggest single, "X," was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, reps for both Savage and the RIAA confirm, having moved 1 million equivalent units since its July 15 release.

What's most notable about Savage's achievement is that Savage Mode, his collaborative release alongside Metro on which "X" is featured, was released independently on Savage's Slaughter Gang label. This week, the song reached its highest chart position to date on the Hot 100, at No. 36, in its 10th week on the tally, while Savage Mode is currently at No. 29 on the Billboard 200, down one spot from last week's No. 28 peak in its 18th week. It was certified gold by the RIAA on Oct. 26.

"X" has also been helped by SoundCloud data, which just recently has been incorporated into the Billboard charts. The song has accumulated 48.4 million streams on that platform alone, according to its top 50 chart, and currently sits at No. 2 overall for songs in the past week, with 2.22 million streams. Savage is out on tour with Young Thug on the latter's HiHorse'd Tour, which runs through Dec. 18.
