Just a few weeks after releasing the harrowing video for "Drug Dealer," Macklemore brought the substance abuse cautionary tale to The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (Nov. 16). Mack was joined by singer Ariana Deboo for the intense performance of the song that recalls the rapper's past struggles with substance abuse.

Opening with Mack seated on the stage, bathed in a single spotlight and wearing a white undershirt and black jeans, the MC solemnly rapped the lines, "They said it wasn't a gateway drug/ My homie was takin' subs and he ain't wake up/ The whole while these billionaires they kicked up/ Paying out Congress so we take their drugs."

His eyes closed tight as he recalled friends who died and rattled off a list of celeb victims (Prince, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Heath Ledger, Pimp C, A$AP Yams and DJ AM), Macklemore stared into the camera while Deboo crooned the chorus: "My drug dealer was a doctor, doctor/ Had the plug from Big Pharma, Pharma/ He said that he would heal me, heal me/ But he only gave me problems, problems."
