French Montana recently decided to scrap his project Mac & Cheese 4 (MC4) but assured fans that new music is on the way and even teased that he'd drop a Max B collaboration in the following weeks. Keeping his promise, Montana dropped a new track titled "Paid For" on Tuesday (Oct. 12) -- a tribute to the late rapper Chinx and to imprisoned "Wave God" Max B.

"It's hard to do this," the Bronx MC confessed before spitting about his time with longtime friend and Queens rapper Chinx, who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in May 2015. "Nothing worse when you love something death could touch," Montana continued, revealing that he still looks at his phone hoping to see Chinx calling and is reminded of his fellow Coke Boy every time he stares at Chinx's offspring.

The emotional tribute also features a recorded conversation between the "Lockjaw" rhymer and Harlem's own Max B. "Always know this, B, you blessed," Max B tells Frenchy in the recording. "When you feel like that, think of my situation." The song uncovers Montana's vulnerable side as he reflects on the seven years that have passed since the "waviest of them all" was sentenced to a 75-year prison bid back in 2009. Last month, French Montana announced that Max B could actually be coming home in as little as two to six years.
