Nicki Minaj had a good laugh Saturday evening (Oct. 8) after fooling fans into believing that she was on the verge of releasing a surprise new album.

Out of nowhere, the rapper tweeted that she was going to drop a new album, titled Pick My Fruit Out, at midnight. “Ok u know what I wasn't gonna say anything but damn ya got it out of me,” Minaj wrote. “The album drops at midnight. it's called #PickMyFruitOut.”

Shortly after, the rapper shared the would-be track list of the fruit-inspired album, with song titles like “Mango,” “Cherry," “Watermelon” and "Fruit Loops." The track she was most excited about, however, was “N---- Toss My Fruit Salad,” she wrote.

#PickMyFruitOut trended on Twitter soon after Minaj posted the news of the faux album.

About an hour after the initial tweet, Minaj finally let fans in on the joke, tweeting, “I been cryin laughin this whole time, btw... Good stuff.” See the full series of tweets below.

There's still no official word on the status of her next album, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint. In September, she unexpectedly released a new song on SoundCloud titled “The Pinkprint Freestyle” and performed “Side to Side” with Ariana Grande at the 2016 MTV VMAs.
