John Legend performs at Univision Radio's H2O music festival at Los Angeles Historical Park on Aug. 25, 2012 in Los Angeles.

John Legend leads with his heart on forthcoming single "Love Me Now." The R&B singer-songwriter shared a snippet of the love song on his Instagram, where he sings, "I don't know who's gonna kiss you when I'm gone, so I'm gonna love you now like it's all I have."

The sensual artwork also features him and wife Chrissy Teigen, who recently put her Twitter account on private.

The pair, who married in 2013, recently welcomed a baby girl named Luna this past April. Between fatherhood and producer gigs for the WGN America slavery drama Underground and the recent film on the Obamas' love story Southside With You, Legend has not released new music till now.

He recently told Notion magazine about his forthcoming album, "I don’t think it’s a dramatic change. I believe that it’s progression; continuing to push myself and trying to perfect my craft and, to me, that really is to write the best songs you can write, then try to record and produce them in the best way that you can.”

Legend will formally unveil "Love Me Now" on Facebook Live at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday (Oct. 6).
