Coolio and his security guard were detained at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday (Sept. 17) after a loaded gun was found in one of their bags, TMZ reports. While Coolio’s security guard first claimed to be the owner of the bag, the “Gangsta's Paradise” rapper allegedly later said it was his.

Police determined that the gun had been stolen, and both Coolio and his security guard were arrested, according to the report.

Coolio and his crew were departing from LAX when a book bag of theirs was flagged by the TSA. The firearm, as well items belonging to Coolio, were found in the bag during an investigation.

TMZ obtained video footage of the rapper handcuffed and put in the back of a police vehicle.

Billboard reached out to a rep for Coolio for comment. The rapper issued a video response Saturday night, which can be watched below.

"Everything's fine. I'm fine," he says in the clip. "As you can see, I'm a P.F. Chang's having a meal and having a few drinks. I mean, I don't know what's gonna be the result of this in the future, but for now, I'm fine and I appreciate everyone's concerns.
