OG Maco is recovering from a near-fatal car accident that caused the rapper to lose his right eye. Last week (July 22), the Atlanta rapper shared a photo of himself on Twitter in a hospital bed and flipping the bird, with the caption "#PrayForMaco."

The 24-year-old rhymer also detailed his lengthy list of injuries in a series of tweets. "Multiple skull fractures, broken orbital (surgery next week), cracked vertebrae (surgery next week) and heart palpatations," he shared. "I feel ALIVE!!!"

Maco then offered a light-hearted joke, "On the bright side, My plastic surgeon says I can't get any uglier so fixing my face should be easy." He even threw in a nod to Kanye West's 2004 hit "Through The Wire," adding, "Thank God I ain't too cool for that safe belt."

Flooding his timeline while at the hospital, he shared a video clip of himself on Wednesday wearing an eyepatch as he headed into surgery. "THANK YOU TO ALL THE WELL WISHES FROM MY FRIENDS, FAMILY AND FANS!!! TIME FOR SURGERY!," he tweeted, before comparing himself to X-Men character Cyclops. "I FEEL LIKE SCOTT SUMMERS!!"

He also sent a special message to the haters. "Y'all bastards had all these jokes like I really didn't lose a eye real quick. I don't mind. Just remember I never did a thing to you. ---- To see a world where the do-ers and dreamers are ridiculed more than losers and conformity is to worse than missing an eye."

The Motown/Capitol Records signee, who blew up with his 2014 single "U Guessed It," told Billboard in January that he expects to release his debut album this summer. "Something like June, probably. If not summertime, I will personally -- just because I know this s--t is about to go -- I would do it in like August at the latest," he said. "Just because of the feel of it; it's some real classic f---in' rock star s--t, and I don't know if the people want their classic rock star s--t during the summertime. But hey, f--k it. You never know."
