On what would have been late rap great Tupac Shakur's 45th birthday Thursday (June 16), the trailer for the West Coast legend's forthcoming biopic All Eyez On Me has surfaced.

7 Revelations About the Tupac Shakur Biopic From Director Benny Boom

Earlier this year, director Benny "Boom" Douglas told Billboard that the film would tackle the lyricist's life as well as his encounters with racism and role in the highly publicized East Coast/West Coast beef with Notorious B.I.G. "[Racism] is a vicious cycle, and Tupac was a victim of that; he witnessed police brutality," Boom said. "It's not just a biopic about a musician: It's about a revolutionary. It's the story of a martyr, someone who died for his cause."

In the teaser, an FBI raid is shown as the voice of Walking Dead star Danai Gurira -- who plays Pac's late mother Afeni Shakur -- says, "son this ain't just about you. Like all black men, you have a bullseye on your back." The teaser also features footage of Demetrius Shipp, Jr., as Shakur performing on-stage before adoring fans.
