Jay Rock Opens Up About Motorcycle Accident

Top Dawg Entertainment's own Jay Rock appeared to be in high spirits when he sat down with Sway In The Morning at Soundset Festival after his May 29 performance. In February, the Los Angeles rapper got into a "bad accident" while riding his motorcycle, per TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith.

"I was just doing what real dudes do. I was on my bike. Accidents happen," explained Rock, who revealed that he broke his leg and cracked his pelvis. "By God's grace, he protected me the whole way." He added, "It took me a couple weeks to get back out here 'cause you know, you can't bring a strong one down." 

He also shares the gems he's been given from the likes of rap OGs like E-40, Dr. Dre and Busta Rhymes. "Hustle like you broke and keep that passion."

He also spoke about the "crazy stuff" he heard from fellow TDE mate Schoolboy Q's forthcoming album, the roster's rollout plans, and the possibility of a new Jay Rock LP in the full interview below.
