John Legend to Perform National Anthem at NBA Finals

John Legend will be belting out the national anthem for the NBA Finals on Thursday night (June 2). The Oscar- and Grammy-winning singer and film/TV producer, 37, is set to take the stage on the hardwood ahead of Game 1, where the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Golden State Warriors.

The Cavs, led by hometown hero LeBron James, beat the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, while the Warriors, helmed by two-time MVP Steph Curry, locked in a Game 7 win against Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

Legend also lined up a personal win after his wife, Chrissy Teigen, gave birth to their first child, a baby girl named Luna Simone Stephens in April.
