Mac Miller's first mixtape Best Day Ever will be released on its fifth anniversary as a commercial album via Rostrum Records. The remastered version of the 16-track offering will be available for the first time on all commercial download and streaming services, as well as vinyl and CD form.

Mac Miller Moves In at No. 1 on Billboard 200

The tape is home to the party anthem "Donald Trump," which sold 1.25 million downloads, racked up more than 100 million YouTube views and spawned a feud between the rapper and the aspiring presidential candidate that simmers to this dayBest Day Ever also boasted production credits from beatsmiths including Just Blaze, ID Labs and Chuck Inglish. The Pittsburgh rapper's BDE follow-up, his 2011 major-label debut Blue Slide Park, was also the first independently distributed release to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 since 1995, when Tha Dogg Pound did it with Dogg Food.

Rostrum Records President Benjy Grinberg, who founded the label (signees include Wiz KhalifaThe Bird and The Bee and Mod Sun, among others) in 2003, said clearing the samples took almost two years.

"Best Day Ever really solidified Mac's presence online in 2011 and was another step in his progression as an artist," he tells Billboard over email. "The album includes Mac's biggest single to date, 'Donald Trump,' but that's just a coincidence. We set the clearance into motion almost two years ago (well before Trump announced his presidential run).

"It takes a while to clear the samples and take care of all of the paperwork," he adds. "It was important to us to include all of the songs from the original album, so we spared no expense to clear everything. Then we remastered it, so it sounds even bigger! Best Day Ever was an important moment in time and it was imperative to keep the integrity of the album 100 percent intact."

Miller -- who initially signed to Rostrum Records before joining the Warner Bros. roster in 2014 -- also rolled out several projects since his debut including 2012's Macadelic, 2013's Watching Movies with the Sound Off, 2014's Faces and 2015's GO:OD AM. The commercial edition of Best Day Ever will be released Friday, June 3, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
