Common attends the 88th Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland Center on Feb. 28, 2016 in Hollywood, California.

Common is slapping on his supervillain suit for the star-studded flick Suicide Squad. In an interview with Complex alongside Ice Cube, the Oscar-winning rapper revealed that his character's name is "Monster T," an affiliate of Jared Leto's Joker. He didn't go into the specifics of his role but said the movie was "dope."

The Barbershop: The Next Cut co-stars also discussed ending their beef, following a feud that stemmed from lyrics in Common's 1994 cut "I Used To Love H.E.R.".

"I think we've been fans of each other from before," Cube explained. "Our beef happened from a misunderstanding. It was cool for us to sit down and talk to each other and work that out as men."

Comm adds, "One thing I know is that we got into hip-hop to elevate. There was no need for us to be on that level."

Watch Cube and Comm chat about Nicki Minaj's acting skills (she also appears in the Barbershop's third installment), politics (no firm endorsements), and their forthcoming track "Real People" below. Additionally, Cube debunks rumors of a Straight Outta Compton sequel and denies joining the Spider-Man reboot as anything but Spider-Man himself -- "I ain't playing no sidebuster," Cube explained.
