Talib Kweli Calls Out Iggy Azalea for Response to Macklemore's 'White Privilege II'

Talib Kweli was charged up on his timeline Friday (Jan. 22) following the release of Macklemore's new single "White Privilege II" -- especially after Iggy Azalea's response to the perceived diss track.

"You've exploited and stolen the music, the moment/ The magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with/ The culture was never yours to make better/ You're Miley, you're Elvis, you're Iggy Azalea," Macklemore spits on the track.

While Iggy Azalea didn't take kindly to Mack's bars ("he shouldnt have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events etc if those were his feelings," she tweeted at a fan who asked if she'd heard the record), Kweli slammed her for apparently misinterpreting the track.

"The fact @iggyazalea thinks Macklemore song was a diss to her, instead of actually listening, is proof of her privilege," the Brooklyn rhymer tweeted. "F--- Iggy Azalea."

He also revealed his initial support for the Australian rapper. "True story. I actually rooted for Iggy when she first came out. But she's disrespected hip hop culture one too many times," he continued.

Kweli also offered a shout-out to another female MC in Detroit for contrast.
