BJ the Chicago Kid arrives at the 57th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, in Los Angeles.

It may not be #ThrowbackThursday but after watching BJ The Chicago Kid's cover of Blackstreet's "Before I Let You Go," every day is a good day for '90s R&B.

The Chicago crooner has cranked out A1 covers in the past -- from this smooth acoustic performance of MGMT's "Electric Feel" and Donell Jones' "Where I Wanna Be" to this sultry version of Aaliyah's "One in a Million."

BJ continues the wave of slow jams with his recent cover of Blackstreet's 1994 classic, which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995. The '90s R&B group also churned out the sweet hit "No Diggity" featuring Dr. Dre and Queen Pen.

Stay tuned for BJ The Chicago Kid's Motown debut In My Mind -- home to his current single "Church" featuring Chance The Rapper and Buddy -- arriving in 2016.
