BET has set its sights overseas for its forthcoming lifestyle festival BET Experience Africa. A slew of big-name headliners like Maxwell, Mary J. Blige, Young Thug and Raphael Saadiq will storm the stage alongside native acts like AKA, Flavour (Nigeria) and Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania).

Ford will also present an NBA Celebrity Basketball Game featuring former NBA All-Star and 1992 Slam Dunk Champion Cedric Ceballos and performances by an NBA Dunk Team. Other spectacles will include the Comedy Central Stage and Genius Talks, including South African Minister of Sport and Recreation Fikile Mbalul and moderator, Nikiwe Bikitsha, known as one of South Africa’s leading radio and television news personalities.
