Less than a year ago, in December, reports surfaced that Diddy and Drake had been involved in an alteration at Miami nightclub LIV. But on Tuesday (Aug. 17), Diddy said he "did not put hands on Drake."

During an interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, Diddy continued to say that he does "not want any problems with Drake. I didn't do nothing to Drake. Drake is my friend."

While there wasn't an altercation, according to Diddy, he did admit to there being a misunderstanding between the two over Drake's song, "0 to 100/ The Catch Up."

“'0 to 100' was initially a record that was my record," he said. "Somehow it became a misunderstanding, because we were working with the same producers." Back in December, Diddy said Drake stole the "0 to 100" beat from him during a show before playing the song. "I gave this shit to this n---a, this n---a stole this shit from me... at the end of the day, this shit is still hard," he said onstage at the time.

Diddy also added that Drake "is actually my favorite rapper, as far as songwriting and albums," before saying that he had planned for Drake to ghostwrite the song for him. In connection with Meek Mill and Drake's beef, Diddy said that what matters is the artist wanting to make "the best record."
