It was just last fall that Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea were carrying on an intense beef online over a continuous flurry of rude Instagram posts by the iconic Long Beach rapper.

But now the Doggfather's singing a different tune. In a recent interview with The New York Times Magazine he paid a solid compliment to his former foe.

When asked about his thoughts on "this suburban streak in hip-hop, like Iggy Azalea and Macklemore?" Snoop responded positively. "Rap is supposed to grow," he said. "One thing about Iggy and Macklemore: They got soul. They're inspired by hip-hop. I don't care how you’re gonna take it to your people and flip it and dip it and serve it."

Considering the flurry of negative attention Azalea's received over the past months and their past beef, Snoop's diplomacy here looks pretty decent.
