Nas Previews J Dilla-Produced Song at Run the Jewels' Album Release Party

Nas performs onstage at the Beats Music Launch Party at Belasco Theatre on January 25, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. 

Nas made a surprise appearance at Run the Jewels' (Killer Mike and El-Palbum release celebration for RTJ2 on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

"I came here to support the brother son an incredible project. I've been watching them do their thing, even feeling like this is something that inspires me," he said.

Nas took advantage of the vibe and previewed a new song of his titled "The Season." Listen below:

Nas closes the track by joking with the 2012 allegations that others ghostwrite for him: "Jay Elect doesn’t write it/ Hov couldn’t write it, he’s vacationing/ Jungle is the only brother I take shit from/ Her song gives me lines/We talk all the time, so I guess if he inspired my song it ain’t mine/Let me get this clear, the kid is gifted.”

When appearing on the remix to ScHoolboy Q's "Studio," also featuring BJ the Chicago Kid, Nas revealed that he's wrapped up his final album on Def Jam: "Finished up my new album/ Single about to be dropping/ Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options."
