Kings of Leon perform "Family Tree" with Questlove on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 12, 2014.

Questlove is many things: a drummer, DJ, TV and record producer, thinker and now an honorary member of Kings of Leon

The multi-talented music man came to the rescue on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he filled in for KOL’s Nathan Followill behind the drumkit. Followill is recovering from a broken rib sustained in a recent bus accident.

It’s an injury so severe, his doctor has ordered two weeks’ rest, meaning a bunch of KOL tour dates have been scrapped.

Questlove, who is a founder of the Roots and a member of the Tonight Show houseband, put his hand up to help-out his friends when Followill went down. On Tuesday night, he teamed up with the rockers for a one-off performance of “Family Tree,” which is taken from KOL’s 2013 album Mechanical Bull.
