Chris Brown was not among the artists who paid tribute to Michael Jackson in Wales over the weekend, but the singer's rep reportedly claims it was a tour date conflict--not a UK ban over his past criminal record--that kept him from joining the show.
"His previously booked domestic F.A.M.E. tour concert dates didn't allow him to accept the honor and therefore he never planned to go to the UK. He was not banned," the rep told TMZ, denying reports that appeared on Perez Hilton and other sites last week.
Brown was, however, blocked from performing in the UK in 2010, when he was denied a visa and forced to cancel his European tour. The singer himself did not address the rumors on Twitter, tweeting instead about a tour date after party on Saturday.
