Jay-Z Plays NYC, Slipknot Cancels Shows, Sean Paul Talks Album
In this Monday's edition of Daily Noise, brought to you by Fuse and Billboard, Jay-Z will be generating a lot of attention for his new album - and help for a worthy cause - when he plays Madison Square Garden this September 11. The rapper will be releasing 'The Blueprint 3' on the eight-year anniversary of his first "The Blueprint" and will be donating 100 percent of the show's proceeds to the charity "Answer The Call - 'The New York Police and Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund'".
Slipknot cancelled two shows over the weekend, when drummer Joey Jordison had to be suddenly hospitalized. The band also cancelled a show the next night in Kennewick, Washington.
Last week Sean Paul dropped his fourth album, "Imperial Blaze." But to Sean, it's creating music that counts, not releasing an album. "I recorded nealyr 60 tracks, some collabos," he said. "I really like all the songs just that when I felt this 19 define me as imperial blaze."
Sean is planning to tour behind the album but no dates are set yet.
