This marks the fourth time in the history of the event that the breakout artist of the year honor has been given, with Guyton joining previous honorees Chris Stapleton (2015), Kelsea Ballerini (2016) and Ashley McBryde (2019).

She also co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards alongside Keith Urban and is nominated for her first CMA Award, for new artist of the year, at the upcoming Country Music Association Awards on Nov. 10.
