Garth Brooks joined his friend Robin Roberts on Good Morning America last week for a chat about his upcoming Drive-In Concert, and ended up sharing some new music with the esteemed journalist.

"Do you want new music yourself from me?" the country star asked Roberts, to which she replied, "I always--any music from you, Garth, just makes my spirit soar."

To her surprise, Brooks replied that he would send her something new that he's been working on, and she'll "decide what you want to do with it."

"If you want to share it, share it, if you want to keep it for you, keep it for you," he noted. Flash forward to Monday (June 15), and Roberts couldn't help but share Brooks' stunning song, "We Belong to Each Other."

"My beloved momma always said “everybody’s got something”....whatever your something is that you’re facing I hope this brings you as much comfort as it has for me," Roberts wrote in the caption of her post sharing the song. "My immense gratitude to engineer, Matt Allen, studio manager, Charles Green, the gentleman who mastered it, Eric Conn, everyone who had a part in this and the incomparable Garth Brooks for allowing me to share this gift."

The country tune features lyrics that feel extra important during this tumultuous time. "We belong to each other/ We are sister and brother/ Born to love one another," Brooks declares in the chorus.
