Fans Pick Fiona Apple's 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters' as This Week's Favorite New Music

Apple's 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters' brought in more than 50% of the vote.

Fiona Apple's new album, Fetch the Bolt Cutters, has topped this week's new music poll.

In the poll, published Friday (April 17) on Billboard, music fans voted for Apple's long-awaited fifth studio release as their favorite new release from this week.

The 42-year-old artist's Fetch the Bolt Cutters album arrived Friday, marking Apple's first new album in eight years. Her last set, The Idler Wheel..., was released in 2012.

Bringing in 53% of the vote this week, Fetch the Bolt Cutters received more votes than new music from Playboi Carti, Kelly Clarkson, and a collaboration between Sam Smith and Demi Lovato.

In second place was Carti's new track “@MEH,” followed by Clarkson's “I Dare You” in third.
