'Tiger King' Joe Exotic Is the Next Big Country Star: Hear His 7 Best Songs

Tiger King

Joe Exotic in Netflix's Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.

If you've been on Netflix's Tiger King bandwagon, you know that there's a lot of insanity packed into seven installments.

A hilarious fun fact that was thrown into the first episode of the docuseries is that tiger enthusiast Joe Exotic is actually a country singer who has released full-length albums available for purchase at his gift shop.

Given this information, we at Billboard decided to compile Joe Exotic's 7 best songs for your listening pleasure. (Note: The Los Angeles Times reports that it is not, in fact, Joe Exotic's voice on these songs, but that he won't admit that he actually commissioned a singer and songwriter to make them. This shouldn't take away from your enjoyment of the masterpieces below, of course.)

1. "I Saw a Tiger"

This is the song featured in Tiger King, and really captures Exotic's love for the big striped cat. Dressed in a handcuff belt and rocking his signature bleached mullet, Joe Exotic hangs with tigers, stands on an emergency vehicle with a storm special effect in the background and plays the acoustic guitar in a lush field.

2. "Here Kitty Kitty"

The tune feels eerie after the documentary, as it's dedicated to his arch nemesis Carole Baskin. “Here kitty kitty, you can’t find this taste at the zoo," he warns dressed in all black as scenes of tigers getting fed meat weave across the screen.

3. "I Can't Believe This Feeling"

The snowy backdrop provides the perfect scene for Joe Exotic's sweet love song. He walks with his lover through the winter landscape and gets playful by throwing snowballs at him. "I want you to know I want to be your very best friend / And I want you to know I'm gonna stay all the way to the end," he proclaims in the pro-LGBTQ anthem.

4. "Do You Ever Wonder What Love Could Do?"

Joe Exotic becomes the face of animal activism with this song and video, which definitely took inspiration from Sarah McLachlan singing "In the Arms of an Angel" for ASPCA. Scenes of people bonding with their exotic pets are blended with Joe crooning against his go-to stormy sky.

5. "My First Love"

This powerful love ballad has Joe Exotic belting, “You were my first love, the one that’s going to last,” as his partner, John Finlay (and tigers), appear in the snow. “Million miles later, I’m a ghost from the past. You were my true love.”

6. "GW and Me"

This one is credited to "Country Music Artist (Joe Exotic)," and it features a chaotic mix of scenes and special effects to tell the tale of Exotic’s brother's tragic death. He places red roses at a grave in a black and white cemetery, he belts in the studio, he shows his tigers and sparkling lights trickle down a blue sky. It's a roller coaster, but we can't stop watching.

7. "Because You Love Me"

This one is on the list because the intro shows footage of one of Joe Exotic's famous tiger shows! The whole crowd even waves their arms side-to-side to kick off the melody. It's amazing.
